Our Story

Government Tracker and the Scout Tracking Operations School is the premier tracking training institute in the country. We specialize in forensics, crime scene, search & rescue, tactical and scout tracking.

Our system, Forensic Spoorology, is the national standard and was created by CMDR Ty Cunningham, United States Marshals Service Master Tracker (Retired).

From first observation of sign and through all aspects of finding lost persons or apprehending fugitives, this system was created as a formal scientific method of analysis and study, documentation and case resolution — allowing students to advance when ready with consistent mentorship available through the phases.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple. Expand access to the national standard, create a network of Scout Trackers who have tested and met the standard at whatever phase they are prepared for, to promote tracking and increase awareness of its capabilities, to instill uniformity and commonality in the preparedness and documentation of field deployable personnel within a system that is unmatched for the professional tracker.

Law Enforcement Career

Alfred Felker serves over a decade in law enforcement across three Tennessee agencies, rising to Chief Deputy and gaining extensive experience in narcotics investigations, K-9 operations, and tactical response.

Tracking Certification

Trains under CMDR Ty Cunningham (USMS, Ret.) and earns Government Tracker Certified Master Scout Tracker (GT6M) designation in Human Tracking Forensics / Forensic Spoorology.

Growing the Network

Continuing to build a network of certified Scout Trackers, delivering training in forensics, crime scene, search & rescue, tactical and scout tracking across the country.

Government Tracker Certified Master Scout Tracker (GT6M) in Human Tracking Forensics. Over a decade in law enforcement across three Tennessee agencies, Mantracking/SAR Instructor. Nearly 40 years studying the Eastern Woodlands with extensive certifications in tracking, search and rescue, tactical medicine, firearms instruction, and wilderness survival.
